He worked as a design architect and builder in the private sector over 42 years; He worked as an official in municipal and state public works units for 6 years.

He began working in 2002 as a professor at the University of Guadalajara/Centro Universitario de Arte, Architecture and Design teaching materials of architectural composition on several levels, introduction of the Built Heritage, Urban Design, Thesis I, for the bachelor's degree in architecture and Workshop of Conservation projects, Workshop of restoration projects, Workshop of research projects, Facilities in buildings in the process of restoration, for the Master's Degree in Architecture Sciences / orientations in History of Mexican Architecture, and Conservation of the Built Heritage.
