Marco De Paolini has a Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Milan, a Master's degree in Information Technologies and a Specialty in Information and Knowledge Management from the Open University of Catalonia, and PhD studies in City, Territory and Sustainability.
He was a professor of the Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning and Environment and the Master's Degree in Processes and Graphic Expression in Urban-Architectural Projection. He is a Consultant in territorial studies and GIS and a researcher at IN-Cities responsible for the technology area. He was also responsible for the development of the Virtual Library of the Virtual University System of the University of Guadalajara.
His professional and academic activity has focused on the application of new technologies such as Geographic Information Systems, remote sensing, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, to the study of Landscape Ecology and urban planning.
Some notable projects in which he has participated are: Predictive model of the inter-municipal diffusion of the COVID19 Pandemic in Jalisco based on occupational mobility flows (student labor) (COECYTJAL, 2020); State Strategy for Ecological, Territorial Planning and Urban Development of Jalisco (2019-2020); Violence prevention program against women during daily mobility and in urban public transportation in Jalisco (2017); Analysis and Discussion Process on the Implementation of the UN Habitat Model for Safe Cities in the municipalities of the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area that make up the Metropolitan Security Agency (2017); Diagnosis and action plan of the Infrastructure component of the prosperity profile of Querétaro UN HABITAT (2017).
